Expansion ICT Care: business interruption cloud service
The majority of companies in our country are not insured for cybercrime. However, a cyber attack is a real and ever-increasing risk, which has recently been proven after the worldwide WannaCry attack with ransomware. If you become a victim of an ICT incident, such as ransomware, requiring ransom in exchange for encrypted files, your business activities will temporarily shut down. As a result, additional costs must be incurred and the intended revenue may not be achieved. The ICT Care Policy then guarantees revenue to the level that the company would have achieved if the damage had not occurred.
ADD's policy ICT Care already contained a ‘business interruption insurance’ module. It compensates for the loss of revenue caused by a damage case for a business. The expansion now also covers business damage due to an interruption of the cloud service provider's service (“business interruption cloud service”). There may be many causes of cyber risks and a subsequent business standstill: an external attack, a human error, a technical malfunction, but also a problem with the cloud provider may be at the root.
The ICT Care Policy of ADD primarily provides assistance in case of a security or system failure. You get help from specialists to immediately stop an attack, reduce and repair damage, and comply with legislation. The cybercrime insurance covers the financial consequences of cyber attacks, even at hardware and software levels. In addition, the affected company and its directors are assisted in liability claims and reputation damage.
Make sure you are protected from risks, including cyber risks. Because if something could not have been prevented, it can still be fixed!
